How to use the touch-up paint
Please note: If you view the paint from the bottom of the container, it may appear darker or may not match your wheel’s colour. This is because pigment particles naturally settle over time. To ensure even colour and consistency, always shake the bottle thoroughly before use and follow the instructions below carefully.
Caution: The touch up paint bottle has a cap top and a brush applicator. Hold upright and open slowly to avoid spills.
Step 1 – Shake
- Shake the bottle thoroughly for at least 1 minute.
- Unscrew the lid to access the brush which is inside the actual paint.
- Ensure to check the colour match before proceeding. Test in a discreet area and allow it to dry for 10 minutes, as colours may appear different in the bottle, when wet, or if applied incorrectly.
Step 2 – Prepare
- The surface must be clean and dry – make sure all wax, polish and dust is removed.
Step 3 – Paint
- Using the brush apply thin and light coats in smooth strokes.
- Leave paint to dry for 10-25 minutes before applying a second coat if required.
- Leave paint to cure for 24 hours till hardened before applying lacquer or polishing.
- If the application is not correct or satisfactory, use a wet damp cloth to wipe it off immediately.
