Which Tesla does the Microfibre Car Drying Towel fit?
The Tessories Microfibre Car Drying Towel fits the Model 3 (2019–2027), Model Y (2022–2027) and Model Y L (2026–2027).
How quickly can I dry my Tesla with this towel?
Much faster than with a small cloth. At a large 90 x 60 cm, the towel covers more of your car with every wipe, and its ultra-absorbent microfibre soaks up most of the water in a single pass. The Tessories drying towel lets you dry your Tesla quickly, before water spots have time to form on the paint or glass.
What does 1100gsm coral fleece mean?
GSM stands for grams per square metre, and it shows how thick and dense the microfibre is. At 1100gsm, this coral fleece towel is very thick and plush, so it holds a huge amount of water before it needs wringing out. That means fewer stops while you dry and a quicker finish on larger cars like a Tesla.
Will this drying towel scratch my paint?
No. The ultra-soft, plush fibres glide gently over the paint and help prevent scratches while you dry, buff and detail. Instead of rubbing hard, simply lay the towel flat and draw it across each panel. The thick fleece does the work, soaking up the water without you needing to press down on the paint.
Can I use it on glass, wheels and trim as well?
Yes. This towel dries all exterior surfaces, including paint, glass, wheels and trim, so one towel can finish the whole car. For the best result, dry the paint and glass first and leave the wheels until last, so any brake dust or road grime picked up from the wheels doesn't end up on the rest of your Tesla.
Can I use it for buffing wax and dusting?
Yes. As well as drying, the towel buffs away wax, sealant and quick detailer for a glossy, streak-free finish. The plush fibres also trap dirt and dust, so it works well for light dusting and quick touch-ups between washes. It's a handy towel to keep in the boot for when your car just needs a quick wipe.
How is this different from the 3-pack cleaning towels?
This towel is made for drying a whole car. It's much larger at 90 x 60 cm and thicker at 1100gsm, so it soaks up far more water in one go. The Tessories 3-pack cleaning towels are smaller and better suited to washing, interior detailing and smaller jobs. Many owners use both: the big towel for drying and the smaller ones for everything else.
