What does the Boot Ceiling Felt Liner do for the Model 3 boot?

What is the Boot Ceiling Felt Liner made of?
The Boot Ceiling Felt Liner is made from durable felt with a soft, carpet-like finish. The felt keeps its shape over time, so the liner stays snug against the boot ceiling. This carpeted felt layer also adds insulation that helps protect the cabin from heat and cold.
Is the Boot Ceiling Felt Liner worth it for a quieter Model 3 ride?
