Protect your Model Y radiator from stones, bugs and road debris. The Model Y leaves its radiator exposed behind an open front intake, with no factory mesh. One flying rock can puncture it and cause a coolant leak and a costly repair. Our Radiator Guard Mesh blocks that gap, so you can drive with confidence.
- Radiator Protection – Helps stop stones and road debris from hitting your radiator through the front opening.
- Avoid Costly Repairs – Lowers the risk of radiator damage, coolant leaks and repair bills you pay yourself.
- Blocks Bugs and Debris – Keeps insects, leaves and grit out of the cooling system.
- Free-Flowing Airflow – An open mesh pattern lets air through, so cooling stays efficient.
- Precise Fit – Made for the Model Y (2022~2024), with no cutting or drilling needed.
- Factory Look – Blends in with the front grille for a clean, finished look.

Which Tesla does the Radiator Guard Mesh fit?
The Tessories Radiator Guard Mesh fits the Model Y (2022–2024). The mesh is made to fit the front intake opening precisely, so it sits in place with no cutting or drilling.
Why does the Model Y need a radiator guard?
The Model Y needs a radiator guard because its radiator sits exposed behind an open front intake, with no factory mesh in front of it. One flying stone can puncture the radiator and cause a coolant leak. The Radiator Guard Mesh covers that gap and acts as a stone guard against rocks, grit and road debris.
Is the Radiator Guard Mesh worth it for daily highway driving?
Yes, the Radiator Guard Mesh is built from tough material that stands up to daily driving and highway speeds. It helps stop stones and road debris from reaching the radiator through the front opening. That lowers the risk of a punctured radiator, a coolant leak and a repair bill you pay yourself.
Does a radiator mesh guard block airflow or affect cooling?
No, the Radiator Guard Mesh uses an open mesh pattern that lets air flow freely through the front intake, so cooling stays efficient. The grille mesh still works as a bug screen, keeping insects, leaves and grit out of the cooling system while air passes through to the radiator.
Is a radiator guard better than leaving the Model Y front intake open?
Yes, a radiator guard gives the Model Y protection that the open front intake does not. Without one, stones, insects and leaves can reach the radiator directly. The Tessories Radiator Guard Mesh blocks that debris and blends in with the front grille, so the car keeps a clean, factory-style finish.
How do you install the Radiator Guard Mesh, and is drilling needed?
The Radiator Guard Mesh installs with no cutting or drilling. This radiator protector is made for a precise fit in the Model Y front intake, so there is no need to modify the bumper or grille. Once fitted, the mesh insert sits flush with the grille for a neat, finished look.
